Odd favorite

I know it's odd for someone like me who likes cheerful, dancy pop and dance music to like this. But I've always liked it. It was the reason I bought the Cruel Intentions soundtrack. Well, the movie is great and the rest of the soundtrack is equally great. In fact, it's the best soundtrack I've heard. Coming in after that, are Miss Congeniality 1 +2 and Gun Shy soundtracks. Bizarre.

Well here goes.

Is it a little emo?

  1. I love this song. And Cruel Intentions. That movie had such a good soundtrack...excellent choice!

  2. It is a little emo, but I think it's forgiveable. Actually, it must be because Dinah likes it too. As do I!

  3. No! It's not even a little emo - these guys predated the emo movement by a few years.

At least that's what I tell myself, having a copy of pretty much everything they have ever done... Placebo's cover of Kate Bush's Running up That Hill is also super number one.

I also heart Cruel Intentions. I always think about Maps of Tasmania when I see Britney get out of a car.

  4. Dinah: YAY! I'm not alone!

    IDV: Oh gosh!

    T-Birdy: I know!

    Sebastian: I love your shirt

Cecile: Thank you, my father took me on a trip to Australia

Sebastian: Well how are things downunder, blossoming I hope!?!

    Kathryn: SEBASTIAN!

Bunny: Pull your legs together this ain't Jamaica!

    Tee-hee!

  5. Never heard that song before! I liked "Bittersweet Symphony" at the end of that movie, though. Let's see...a good soundtrack I've listened to repeatedly would have to be the "13 Going on 30" soundtrack. I'm a fan of 80s music, so that was perfect.

  6. I have no clue what emo is, but the song is fine; like Tara, I do enjoy listening to Bitter Symphony.

I wasn't really into Cruel Intentions; but it's because I was hooked on the original adaptation of the novel in the movie Dangerous Liaisons (1988). Try as I might, I couldn't help but compare and contrast. And while Cruel Intentions did have some funny scenes, for me, Dangerous Liaisons was somehow just grand, over the top entertainment.

  7. It had Ryan Phillipe in it. That's why it is my preferred option.

  8. Agreed. He was sorely missing from the Ballet version I went to this year.

I love that seen in the movie! I wish Christine Baranski would do more things.
