The Academy Awards

The show was dull, obnoxious, tedious and unfunny. Chris Rock made me wish for James Franco to turn up. This was the worst show since the last time Billy Crystal hosted.

That said Alicia Vikander is everything!

  1. The Oscars are usually boring, but I love that Chris Rock poked fun at the whole Hollywood racism issue. There are much worse things going on in the world than worrying about an elitist, elderly group of spoiled actors rewarding themselves for the movies & millions they've made.

That being said, Alicia Vikander looks great, though I was expecting the Beast, Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, & Chip to be in her entourage.

Cate Blanchette is probably my best dressed, and that's a surprise since she usually wears high art fashion pieces that I find just ridiculous & silly looking. But that sea blue dress she wore looked quite ethereal & I loved what looked like flowers and butterflies floating on her body.

Naomi Watts also looked stunning! She was glamorous and spectacular!

  2. I recorded The Oscars rather than watching it live.

But when I read about it the next day, I decided I hadn't missed anything and erased it.

    Nice to see you again!

  3. Good gods! I've only just discovered that you're still alive in the blogosphere (because I scrolled down past Jake Gyllenhaal's bum and noticed you at the top of my "Days of Coven Past" thingy)!

Will you be sticking around for a bit?
