Danish Delights
The week just keeps getting more and more Danish. Maybe you know Alphabeat. Maybe you don't. They are Danish and I kind of like them. The band is actually from my hometown and are now living in London presumably making it big there. What do I know. All I know is that I love these 3 videos.
Boyfriend
Fascination
10,000 Nights of Thunder
Their music is very catchy and happy. I like that.
Donnnn: I feel the same way, I'm just afraid they won't be able to come up with a just as good or better album no. 2.
Bingowings: I know. It's so happy, it gives you a skip in your step.
Scarlet: Just give it another 3 months and the X factor victims are forgotten again. (says the guy who bought the Shane Ward album - which obviously is crap but he looks good on the cover)
I know I am going to sound like an old grouch! I would like to repeatedly slap each of Alphabeat in turn . Its hideously catchy and happy and makes me feel nauseous
*books appointment now for shots to prevent turning Danish*
ReplyDeleteWith some certainty I can tell you they are not making it big.
ReplyDeleteI think one of them was picking up litter in the street today.
I got all of my big kids hooked on FASCINATION..that's just the way we feel..DA DA DA
ReplyDeletethat is one of the best Pop songs that I've heard in years.
Found them on the UK charts a while ago..they should make it big.
They are peppy and upbeat! Such a happy, happy band! The vids are fun and hilarious. My favorite song has to be 10,000 Nights of Thunder...I like it!
ReplyDeleteYou're so oooh
You're so ahhh
You're so good!
I haven't heard of them here yet Pete. We are flooded with X Factor factory fodder at the moment.

MJ: You know you love it
ReplyDeleteTim: Glad to know he has a job.

cool stuff, sugar! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYes, the dreaded sophomore jinx.
ReplyDeleteIf you can harmonize like that you should be able to sing a page out of the phone book and have a hit!
What's all this then about the man-bangs that you spoke of at chez Scarlett?
I love her dress in the third video - though she could lose a few pounds (bitchy me).
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid Brits only tend to like Brit or American music.
Are 'man-bangs', fringes? Floppy fringes?
ReplyDeleteSx
Savannah: I know, isn't it just.
ReplyDeleteDonnn: Unfortunately there is a very fine line between a track being good and being a hit.
The man-bangs are a horrid trend these days where men have bangs. It is so disturbing I may have to blog about it.
KAZ: Oh my! You are right, but on the other hand it's refreshing to see there is a middleway between anorexic and whalrus in pop.
Scarlet: Look up Nate from Gossip Girl or look here

I know I am going to sound like an old grouch!

On a bad day I would probably join you.
