I love the 80s

It's no secret (Tee-hee! get it?) I love the 80s, and this Paula Abdul song with the video is one of my favorites. So when it was time for me to buy a new pair of shoes, there was only one pair for me.

They were 50% off so I couldn't not buy them. I've never actually owned a pair of Converse All Star shoes before. I love them. Of course I have nothing to wear them with, but I suppose I'll figure something out.

  2. No arch support.

Which is fine if you're flat-footed.

  4. I have the Converse bag to match - I'll send it over.
P.S. I posted a link to the Copenhagen song for you.

  5. Frobi: I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

MJ: I put stuff in them to help with that.

IDV: Exactly, brilliant song and video.

    Interesting good or interesting bad?

    KAZ: thanks!

I saw, got to love Danny Kaye.

  6. Those Converse look pretty smart! I've got a pair of traditional ones and to be honest I find them a little uncomfortable … but then again I know loads of people who love 'em!

  7. My main issue with them is that they take so long to put on.

I saw another pair I really liked in pleather or something and I really like the traditional ones in red.

  8. I love that Paula Abdul song! I've never seen the clip before, though. I can't believe that one slipped me by.

I forgot all about how she was a choreographer...

Also - those shoes will look nice with a pair of dark blue jeans. Black pants with them might be a bit of overkill.

  9. One of my fave Paula Abdul songs! You don't think you've got anything to match your funky shoes?

Really? Nothing with any bells? Or perhaps shiny, soft material? Nothing as unique and hard to miss, like velvety green with red trimming? A pair of shorts usually go well with sneakers ;)

  10. Freaking green elf shorts!

  11. Is it wrong that I know most of the words to that song still? Can't help it, I love it. "All the world's a candy store, he's been trick-or-treatin'." Hehe.

  12. Apologies, I was passing by . . . YOUR FIRST PAIR OF ALL STARS!!!
Well, I'm pleased that you have a pair now.

  13. T-Birdy: *gasp!* you've never seen the video? It's so good. It's her best video. The song is awesome.

It's a dilemma because I've got a pair of funky pin stripe trousers but they are black. Too much black.

    Bingowings: Hush you! *smiles*

    T-Birdy: Hush you!

Tara: That's not wrong at all. I've got that same bit stuck in my head too.

Scarlet-Blue: You are always welcome. No matter what MJ might say.

They've been a very long time coming.

  14. Cyberpete, if you wear your new All Stars with those black pants and a white shirt, it would look great! IMHO, anyways. Post a pic and let us see.

I am familiar with that song but had never seen the vid. That is hot stuff! Very suggestive.... gotta love all those hot, hard bodies writhing together like that..... ((fans self as temp rises))
