Birthday boy: The discovery

(remember you can click to make any image larger)

I know you were thinking it yesterday, even if nobody asked why Tim has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. A movie star, so to speak. That's one of the many things I've been up to over the weekend.

With all due respect, who knew what a nightmare it is to celebrate the birthday of our blog star Tim. Then you want to have somebody do something and they are not available, and then there the ones who cannot be in the same room as someone else. Complete nightmare. Luckiely I think I came up with a good selection of Tims many A list friends. Three Gucci minis and a pair of strappy Manolo Blahniks later.

Now where were we? Yes, movie star. Hollywood Walk of Fame. Why? Well, I was having a delightful lunch with one of Tims Facebook friends, The Shat. First off he asked me to bring this message to our dear birthday boy.

Besides that he had a little story to tell all of us, who are not in the know. You see, it turns out that our Tim is actually an actor. You see, when Star Trek first aired in the US, our dear birthday boy was in cast.

The Shat spoke with fondness about Tim and shared these original promo shots from the first US airing of the show.

Sadly before the show aired in the rest of the world, something happened. The show was a huge success but with success comes renegotiation of contracts. The Shat told me, after he got his fee, there was nothing for Tim and so Tim had gotten the boot. His scenes were re-shot with a cheaper actor and the re-worked show is now the only available version. The following shot was taken the day Tim left the set.

After this, Tim left the business but he made a quick comeback on Smallville for the CW network as the Green Arrow.

He hoped he would end up on the same lot where they shot The O.C.

Come back again tomorrow for yet another day of Sparkly Tim Happy Birthday Action

  4. Poor Tim, I bet if had an accent or played an alien, he would've been kept in the show...

As for the Smallville pic, I see on the other side of Clark Kent, Aquaman has borrowed IDV's shirt!

    Glad you like it though.

T-Birdy: He is, isn't he just? All that posing.

    MJ: I believe it is.

    Bingowings: That's Aquaman?

    I thought it was Flameboy

  8. CP, please, the Smallville group looks like a boy band! And there's always a gay member! Of course, looking at some of their shirts and pants, I think there're quite a few flamers in the group!

  9. Scarlet: You are right, fame and money can't buy that.

Kaz: You might be right. I couldn't find that in his bio. Maybe under stunt double?

Bingowings: I think you may be right. The fella in the white vest looks like a flameboy too.

The last two are dressed too dorky.
